About Karen and Helen
We share a vision of making a difference in the lives of employees in the workplace.
Maintaining a healthy work life balance, developing and establishing respectful meaningful relationships with colleagues, managing one's own mental health and learning the skills to look out for others are the priorities for the work we deliver.
They We approach our work with experience, authenticity, empathy and understanding for the unique complexities and requirements that contribute to the development of an emotionally intelligent and resilient workforce.
We are both Accredited Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructors and Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). We both bring our rich backgrounds and vast experience in the mental health space to the work we do with individuals and organisations.

Helen Walters
(RPN, BN, Grad Dip, Master Mental Health)
I have worked in the mental health sector for more than three decades in positions ranging from ward based clinical nursing, management, education, policy development and mental health law.
Believing that most work places can create structures and processes to help their employees become buoyant, sustained and safe has been the motivating factor for my work and the driving force that saw the development of a partnership with like-minded Karen Bourke-Finn and the emergence of the business Sustainable Me.
I live with my partner and pets in Victoria’s beautiful Dandenong Ranges. I love travelling and have previously worked on a voluntary basis in India and Africa.
